Ier Acte: the buzz around the theatre scene in Strasbourg

1/27/2017 - Arts

Named head of TNS in 2014, Stanislas Nordey successfully shakes up the Alsatian institution.

Jokes, jabs, roughousing and more jokes: teenagers today. North-west of Strasbourg, district of Koenigshoffen. Sandwiched between the supermarkets, parking lots, and block buildings, is the Marcel-Rudloff technical high school. It is a vast modern building, with open spaces bathed in light on this particular sunny day. It is in one of these sunlit rooms that a group of students sets up. Their names are Mathilde, Auckland, Thomas, Ayoub, Solène, Fabio, Justine and Ahmed. Some of them - the boys - are in their first year at electrical engineering at Rudloff. The others - almost exclusively girls - are in Fustel-de-Coulanges, an establishment in the city center that adjoins the cathedral of Strasbourg.
