La Maison musicale de Clichy-sous-Bois

The expertise of the Philharmonie of Paris with early childhood education in Clichy-Sous-Bois

The Musical House of Clichy-Sous-Bois is a series of musical workshops for children from 3 months to 3 years of age. The objective is to bring music to kids, families, and childcare workers while studying the effects of early childhood music education on cognitive and social development.

The challenge

A 2016-2018 study by LEAD, the cognitive psychology laboratory of the CNRS, confirmed that music education is not only leisure, but also contributes to child cognitive development.

With over 20 years experience at the Cité of Music, the Philharmonie of Paris developed expertise in early childhood congition, as well as in educating parents and professionals on the importance of music education in early learning.

Our ambition

Through musical performances, a nursery becomes a place for exchanging and shared enjoyment. It is not only musical education but also education through music, as the heart of human development.
