The Ariane de Rothschild Fellowship celebrated its 10-year Jubilee in Lisbon, Portugal (in partnership with the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation) from October 14 to 18, 2019 by convening 22 fellows to harness the voice of the AdR Fellowship as well as realign our shared values. Out of 220 fellows that have been part of this program since its inception, we selected 22 Fellows to help steer and shape the future of the AdR Fellowship. This select group of leaders will henceforward be known as the ‘Legacy Fellows.’

Under the central theme of Strategic Leadership: Communicating Voices, Disrupting Division and Economies of Cohesive Collaboration, the Fellows experienced peer-to-peer training, leadership workshops in communication with top industry experts, and personal development that will augment their assertiveness and galvanize their unique voices. The week culminated in a meeting with Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, the president of the Portuguese Republic.

For the past 10 years, the Ariane de Rothschild Fellowship has fueled a phenomenal force of 220 outstanding leaders and entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds across Europe and North America. They all share the strong conviction that leadership is more than personal ambition; it is service in the interest of others, requiring the will and capacity to inspire and strengthen citizenship worldwide. AdRF Fellows believe in harnessing social good, living with courage and standing fearlessly to celebrate differences and subvert polarization. These Fellows demonstrated the tenacity, leadership, and optimism necessary to be champions of change in and around their communities and beyond.
