Intermediae launches open call for "Una ciudad muchos mundos"

2/9/2015 - Arts

"Una ciudad muchos mundos" is an initiative of Intermediae (Matadero Madrid) together with the Edmond de Rothschild Foundations and the Daniel & Nina Carasso Foundation.

"Una ciudad muchos mundos" is a simultaneously creative and research-based program that explores the relationship between theory and practice in a context of experimentation and mutual learning. It examines the relationships, synergies and gaps between artistic and cultural practices and social processes. It will create an environment for critical thinking and action around forms of urban intervention and develop collaborative projects in the city, with existing or potential communities.

"Una ciudad muchos mundos" fosters interdisciplinary exchange among the arts, social and human sciences, and all other disciplines, practices and prisms through which today's city can be observed and better understood.

Projects will be chosen from an open call for proposals. An international seminar and publication will present the work and insights gained during the program.
