7/11/2017 - Networks

After three successful years and in response to the need of more diversity on the French stage, the program Ier Acte is renewed for a fourth season in 2017-2018.

For this new edition 15 young people have been selected following a series of auditions in Paris, Strasbourg, Avignon, Grenoble and Rennes.

They will benefit from an invitation to participate in the Festival d'Avignon and several intensive work weeks at the Théâtre National de Strasbourg, the FabricA and the Odeon-Théâtre de l'Europe.

Genesis of the Program Ier Acte

Ier Acte was born out of a common realization of the dire lack of diversity in the French theater scene. It has been successively supported by the Colline-Théâtre National and the National Theater of Strasbourg.

The Ier Acte workshops are aimed at young actors who, in their artistic, professional or personal journey, experience discrimination.

Ier Acte - a program developed by the National Theater of Strasbourg, The Edmond de Rothschild Foundations and the SNCF Foundation. In collaboration with the Festival d'Avignon and the Odéon Théâtre de l'Europe.
