Education and Best Practice

Inspire, Rally, Collaborate

Whether small-scale or large-scale, or active in the North or South, philanthropists are key players in responding to todays' social inequalities and divisions. The challenges involved require us to move beyond state intervention and to give civil initiatives a greater role. As a space for commitment and exploration, philanthropic activity represents an appropriate vehicle for renewing models of development. The Edmond de Rothschild Foundations see both a reaffirmation of their historic values and the task of modernizing and sharing their practices as central to their mission.
